I’m convinced some of these ratings are from competitors. At this price point I’ve never had better sushi. I’m so glad we found this place. It also helps that I go to Mother’s daily so the location couldn’t be more convenient.
I don’t understand the reviews hating on the customer service here. I’ve been like seven times and they’re always really cool and nice. Maybe they started out understaffed and that led to the problems. But anyway the sushi is good and I recommend this place.
. . . somewhat unassuming, yet EXCELLENT, sushi restaurant in Irvine . . . VERY FRESH sushi/sashimi, with prompt, friendly, and courteous service . . . also good, draft Japanese beer on tap!
I haven’t been here forawhile and i decided to give it another shot. it was very high quality and fresh!! My favorite was pink lady, amazing!

Honestly the best sushi place in OC! Even thought it’s kinda pricey it is definitely worth all the money. The rice is thin and the fish is thick! My daughter gets this sushi at least a week and is obsessed.
Second time here, happy hour is a good value and great sushi. Only issue is parking is difficult, bypass the lot and use the structure unless of course you are a descendant of Doris Day
I really enjoyed my lunch at Taka! I had two different rolls + some sushi and it was delicious, fresh, and well prepared and designed. The server was very nice and kind. The place is also clean and cozy! They have a great happy hour deal which is all day long during the weekends! I highly recommend this place.
4.4 vibes here. This spot is cool. I will have to try thus place again. I spent 40 bucks but I got sushi, bake mussels, match green tea, and mochi. I definitely don't mind coming back here again. They should invest in happy hour here like kubiki. It would definitely make the place for lively. They need Kalamari here.
This place is awesome! I got the crispy bomb, mango roll and crunch cracker rolls (pictured left to right) and they were all delicious. The woman who helped us was so sweet and wonderful. The restaurant itself is very clean and sleek looking as well. Highly recommend this place to any sushi lovers! if you are more like my boyfriend and aren't a huge fan of sushi, they have more choices like Udon or a Taka Plate with other choices.
